während des ersten Lockdowns im März 2020 kam dem Musiker und Familienvater Dominik Haas, (auch bekannt unter dem Künstlernamen JAHCOUSTIX) die Idee, Lieder für Kinder zu schreiben, die wegen der Pandemie zu Hause bleiben mussten. So entstand das Projekt NIKIS Kindermusik und im Laufe des Jahres 2021 ein ganzes Album und diverse selbstgemachte Musikvideos, u.a. zum Zahnputzlied „Schrubbi Doo“, das seit der Veröffentlichung im Januar 2022 bereits über 250.000 mal aufgerufen wurde.
NIKIS Kindermusik ist akustischer Reggae und Pop, der angenehm unaufdringlich klingt, gute Stimmung verbreitet und stets zum Mitsingen einlädt. Die Lieder sind alle mit Live-Instrumenten eingespielt, klingen organisch und sollen Kindern neben Spaß und Rhythmus, auch pädagogisch wertvolles Wissen vermitteln. Mit seinem Umwelt Song „Müll“ hat NIKI dieses Jahr übrigens den Kindermusik Preis „Goldener Ohrwurm“ in der Kategorie „Lieder für ein bessere Welt“ gewonnen. Ein besseren Auftakt für NIKIS Debütalbum „Hallo“ könnte es nicht geben, dass noch 2022 erscheinen wird. Außerdem wird NIKI ab 2023 mit seiner Gitarre, und einigen lustigen Wegbegleitern aus seinen Videos auf Tour gehen.
